Product filters - Attribute, customer choice and price filters - Textalk Abicart
Filters are included in the Abicart Plus and Pro subscriptions.
How the filter function works
There are three types of filters: price filters, attribute filters and customer choice filters.
- The price filter allows the customer to filter products between different price levels.
- The attribute filter uses fixed attributes such as brand, manufacturer and country of origin or custom attributes created on a product template.
- The customer choice filter uses the options available on the products, such as sizes and colors.
Enable filtering in the theme
Go to Appearance -> Themes -> select theme, edit.
Then go to Content -> Filters.

Price filter
To add a price filter, click on the "New price filter" button.

The filter will appear as a block under "Active filters".

There are no other settings for the price filter, just save it.
The result in the store is displayed at the top of all product group pages like this.

The visitor can adjust the filter by dragging any of the rings and then all products in the category that have a price within the selected price range will be displayed.

Attribute filter
There are two types of attributes, global attributes and custom attributes created on a product template.
Global attributes
Under Soritment -> Settings -> Product attributes, there are a number of fixed attributes that can be activated. These are primarily used in product flows to, for example, Google Shopping and Facebook Catalog. But you can also choose to display these on the product page of the products and then it is also possible to filter on these.
Attributes on the product template
If you have other attributes that are not included in the global attributes, you can create these on a product template and then it is also possible to add these to the filter so that visitors can filter on these. Here in our manual there is more information on how to create product templates.
Add attribute filters
Click on "New attribute filter"

All active and available filters from global attributes and attributes from product templates will be displayed in a drop-down menu.

Select the attribute you want visitors to sort on, for example "Brand". The filter will then appear on all product group pages where there are products that have a brand specified as an attribute.

Customer selection filter
If you have products that have sizes, colors, or other choices that are created via customer choice, you can let customers filter on this. Here in our manual you can find all the information on how to create customer selections.
Add "New customer choice filter".

Then choose which customer choice the customers should be able to filter on.

In this example, we select "Size" and then the following filter will appear on the category pages that contain products with size as a customer choice.
