A classic boost: eClassical.com is now launched on Abicart with a new engine and specially designed theme!

We are pleased to announce that eClassical.com has now launched on Abicart, featuring a custom-designed theme built on a brand-new rendering engine. Our new rendering engine meets eClassical’s unique needs in a way previously not possible – all while enhancing the site's character and identity.

A digital pioneer renewed

Since 1999, eClassical has been a leading provider of high-quality classical music downloads in FLAC and MP3 formats. With a unique pay-per-second pricing system and close collaboration with prestigious labels such as BIS, Harmonia Mundi, and Chandos, eClassical has built a loyal customer base. After years on a proprietary platform, there was a clear need for modernization – both technically and visually.

From complex demands to flexible solutions

The migration to Abicart was no ordinary move. eClassical’s catalog structure, including albums, collections, and individual tracks, required an especially flexible solution. Previously, our platform couldn't provide the necessary custom solutions without complicated compromises.

With our new rendering engine, creating these custom solutions has become significantly easier. We can now design page types and product views tailored to eClassical’s needs – not the other way around. The result is an intuitive shopping experience where each product is presented clearly and naturally.

A user experience in harmony with music

The new theme is specially designed for music lovers who have high standards for both functionality and aesthetics. Inspired by classical album covers and traditional sheet music, the theme features clear typography and a clean, minimalist color palette.

Navigation between composers, record labels, and genres has been significantly enhanced. Additionally, performance is a crucial part of the user experience, maintaining top-level responsiveness even when displaying thousands of options simultaneously. Sound samples, an essential feature for customers, are seamlessly and efficiently integrated.

Ready for the future

The launch of eClassical on Abicart showcases the strength of our new technical platform: the ability to handle specialized needs with high complexity and international reach. This is an important milestone proving we are ready for future challenges in e-commerce.
